One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) I got invited to the home studio of Xavi Turull, percussionist to flamenco fusion group Ojos De Brujo, to listen to new and unreleased music when I visited Barcelona, simply by asking him via Facebook.

2) Taking my ex around HER town in Tokyo because I'm good at discovering new places. There we got to meet Seiji Tsuruzawa 鶴沢清治, a Living National Treasure--a rare individual commissioned by the nation who specializes in the handicraft of the shamisen, a traditional Japanese plucked musical instrument--again at his private residence.

3) In Rio De Janeiro, I had the honor of spending quality time with two of Brazil's scions of music and radio royalty--Alice, granddaughter to Dorival of the Caymmi clan (noted as "perhaps second only to Antônio Carlos Jobim in 'establishing a songbook of [the 20th] century's Brazilian identity'") and Anna, granddaughter to César of the Ladeira lineage (known as the "voice of the Revolution").
