My husband and I just moved to Tucson this past summer and have been busy getting settled in and exploring the area. I am currently working a desk job, but plan on going back to grad school in the fall since the demand for a German speaker isn't real high here :-D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am still new to CouchSurfing, but I am really looking forward to meeting new people and being introduced to their wonderful cities, countries and lives - and should anyone be in my neck of the woods, doing the same for them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing has been excellent the couple of times that I've done it. I really appreciated the people who took time to show me around their city and offer advice about cool, lesser known things to see. And it was great coming back in the evenings and getting to chat and find out about them too!

Interests

Travel, sports (American football and baseball mostly), music, cooking/baking, swing dancing (and hopefully ballroom one day), languages (both old and current ones), history (especially European), crafts (knitting, crocheting, sewing)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a soft-spot for romantic comedies, even though you can tell in the first 5mins exactly how they will end. I also like historical movies, although I tend to become frustrated with their gross inaccuracies, Disney, most things other than horror movies.

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I teach? Well, I can be an excellent English conversation partner if you wish to polish your English skills. I can also teach you how to Lindy Hop, if you are into swing dancing. And given the proper ingredients, we can totally bake cookies! I sincerely miss chocolate chip cookies.
