One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This winter, I volunteered at Mukti Ashram, New Delhi, to teach those rescued child laborers fundamental lessons. In India, the right to education and human rights have not been taken seriously because of deep impacts of caste system. It’s hard to change the situation even if I love those children. However, done is better than perfect, I tried my best to help them. The first day there, we practiced meditation to obtain a sense of calmness by adjusting breaths and stream of consciousness, which was the most impressive thing to me that it helped me a lot during twelve-day India trip. When I encountered difficulties, I just stopped worrying, taking a deep breath, and then reset my mind before going forwards. I learned to unconditionally love and devote to them, moreover, I have realized how to let go of an affection and control my emotion. When I am lost in emotions, what I do is to refresh my mind and find a sense of inner peace.
