ABOUT ME

I'm currently finishing up my undergrad work at The Ohio State University. I enjoy experience and travel more than anything. After I get my M.A. in TESOL I plan on working abroad for a while, most likely in East Asia. I am a huge book nerd.

I don't really enjoy talking about myself. If you have any questions, you're more than welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once again, I haven't hosted or surfed just yet, but I'm hoping soon enough I'll have a fantastic story to tell.

Interests

I'm interested in different cultures, languages, experiences. I often ask a lot of questions to people who have had a certain experience I find interesting and have not had myself. I teach English as a second language, and my students always have such interesting stories about where they've come from, and how they got here!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Dave Eggers, Ernest Hemingway, Time's Arrow by Martin Amis, and countless others. I love hip hop a la Mos Def/RJD2 etc. One of my favorite films is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, directed by Michel Gondry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent twenty minutes inside Stonehenge climbing on the stones and taking pictures!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can explain the history of American music and culture pretty well. All the way from the minstrelsy of the early 20th century to blues, disco, gangsta rap, and beyond.

I'm really interested in learning about different cultures, but for some reason here recently I've been interested mainly in Asian cultures. I.e. India, China, Japan, etc.
