To have as much fun and as many adventures as I can!
I am in my mid-twenties and I have had a lot of fun adventures in my life. My best so far was probably when I lived in Japan. I speak a little Japanese, though I'm losing it because I don't use it and recently began to try teaching myself German. So I guess I should say I speak English and Germapanese!! I have a shameless crush on Yoshimitsu from the Tekken video games, despite not really playing the game much. A good open-mic night is my idea of a great night out. I have been told I look young for my age, which is probably a virtue because I still act 21!!
Growing old is manditory, growing up is optional.
I think we are here on this planet to learn. Sometimes bad things happen, sometimes even terrible things happen but my philosophy is that unless you learn from the experience, it was all for nothing and that makes it even worse. Each time we learn and grow from such 'lessons' we are never required to 're-sit' the class... I mean, we avoid similar situations in future.
I also feel that happiness is a gift to be shared with others. If you can have a positive optimistic outlook, you can teach that to others through example. For this reason I will forever seek happiness in everything I do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I am looking for a couch for a specific reason... I am on a mission (gotta love a good mission, right?). At the moment I am couch-less but as soon as I get my own place to live (I'll hopefully end up in Germany or Japan) then I can't wait to start offering my couch.
Well, Japan of course. I love languages and would learn more if my brain would only cooperate. Live music is my idea of heaven and I enjoy most types of music (slight soft-spot for rock). I am open-minded, philosophical and quite spiritual(that may be a bit of an under-statement). Oh, I also love animals, my degree is in zoology in fact. I have been known to do a bit horse riding in my spare time.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch a lot of movies but I never say no to a movie night! I like things like Mirrormask, Coraline and Pan's Labyrinth but I will watch most things at least once.
As for music, I couldn't name a favourite band or artist as my tastes change regularly. I like Gackt, The Vandals, Counting Crows, Blur, Dido, Linkin Park the Beatles and a whole load of other totally random and unrealated artists.
Best book in the world for me is The Onion Girl by Charlse De Lint. I swear this book changed my entire outlook on life, maybe even saved my life! Growing up, my favourite book was The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This one is hard because I am easily impressed. I guess viewing the release of fireflies in Ikuta Park, Kanagawa at midnight on the summer solstice was an amazing experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to share my small knowledge of Japanese and would be especially greatful to anyone who would attempt to help me learn German (good luck!!). I would gladly share my tarot reading skills if anyone was ever interested.
