About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Help out other travelers needing a place to stay as an alternative to a hotel, which is so costly in these economic times.
ABOUT ME
We are very laid back, love to learn about and meet new people. We are gracious hosts and guests. And for the young ones, we are NOT stodgy middle aged people, we are a blast!
Gary and I are both part time actors - he more stage, me more modeling/film (no nothing you would have seen, don't get all excited. LOL)
I work with rescue horses, mostly training them to become good citizens so they can be ridden safely and adopted to forever homes. I run, read, and kayak as well. I am a budding writer - so I am working on non-fiction articles at the moment. I am more metaphysical, Gary not so much.
Gary is an aficianado of movies and music from most 20th century works. I'm more knowledgeable on the recent decades.
PHILOSOPHY
If it harms no one or no thing, do as you will.
Treat others as you would wish to be treated.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
Community is not a right, it is a privilege and it is important to participate in whatever way you can to better our world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Name almost anything, we've read it, seen it, heard it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My favorite story is one from my childhood. I spent weeks one summer trying to tame a chipmunk to trust me enough to eat sunflower seeds out of my hand. The day that happened, I cried, both for the trust given me by that delicate wild animal and the thrill of being able to pet the creature. He became more and more tame so that I could call him "Champ" and he'd come running for his seeds. These wild creatures only last a few years in our environment and he remembered me every Spring.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach/mentor what we know, which is listed above, we are happy to do so.
We look forward to meeting people from various places in the US and around the world. All cultures fascinate me, and I've been exposed to quite a few. Gary, perhaps less so exposed, but certainly as interested.
