Aloha,

I'm a free-spirited woman who enjoys connecting with all walks of life. My intention in life is to be an Expression of Love…however that looks in each and every moment. From past experience, this seems to be an ever-changing practice. Constantly surprising me in different ways to show up, to act, to speak, to give and receive.

This past year, 2016, has been a journey of falling deeply in LOVE with LIFE itself. I've spent the past six months living on The Big Island of Hawaii. Tucked into little breeze huts in the jungle. Living in intentional communities and upcoming retreat centers. The Big Island holds a Powerful Transformative Energy--hence, the active volcano and current lava flow. I hold this time on The Island very near and dear to my heart. I've never experienced such connection to the Aina (land), Ohana (family), and to my own primal human nature. The easiest way I can sum this up, is the Hawaii literally Cracked Me OPEN. In every way.

I left The Island the same way I entered it. Following Divine Guidance. My next calling--ARIZONA. Not sure why, but I know and trust the calling of the land. So, I'm currently staying with family in San Jose, CA while I prepare for my next adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For A Few Reasons:

1. Working on a traveler's budget ;)

2. Keeps me on my feet..constantly moving.. a practice of learning to love and embrace the one constant in life: CHANGE.

3. Probably My Most Favorite Reason--Meet all different types of beautiful beings. Expand my capacity of human connection.

4. Explore a city from the local's perspective. Anywhere I travel, I always look for the low key, little hole in the wall spots. I avoid tourist scenes as much as possible…because it's all the same. Wherever you go. My reason for traveling is to TAKE IN where I am. The landscape. The people. The culture. All of it. I've found that connecting with locals is key in connecting with the land.

5. Last but not least, A Way of Embodying My Faith and Trust in Life Itself. There's nothing quite like jumping, without a parachute, and letting a net catch you. This has been my new, grounded spiritual practice. Ask--Listen--Receive--Trust--And ACT! Without knowing "why" or "how," but fully trusting the path laid out before you. One Foot in Front of The Other.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music. Music. Live Music is My Love. I like it all. I love watching live performance--witnessing an artist in their element. Anything that moves me--has emotional depth, vulnerability and honesty.

Books. I have a habit of reading 5 books at one time…I mostly read Non-Fiction. Bouncing between health, spirituality and poetry. I love teachers like Carolyn Myss, Tony Robbins and Brene Brown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completed my first Yoga Teacher Training the same weekend I graduated from High School--Iw was a baby 18 year old.

Flew to Hawaii solo. Lived at an intentional community, and did what I called a 3 month "societal-de-conditioning experiment." Turned off all forms of technological communication. No cell phone, no social media, no computer. Didn't speak with anyone from back home for those first 3 months on The Island.
