Get a small taste of Asia before I have to head back to Canada.

ABOUT ME

I'd love to see as much of Asia as I can while I'm here (while sticking to a student budget). I'm really friendly and fun-loving, but I'm also very respectful, and clean.

I'm always up for trying new things and I love learning about other cultures, cuisines, and languages!

PHILOSOPHY

It's still a work in progress, but right now my philosophy is something along the lines of "seize as many opportunities as you can today, as you never know when they will come by again, but keep in mind that you will hopefully have many many tomorrows"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN

I love meeting new people, especially locals when I'm in a new city. Meeting up for a meal or drinks is always a good time!

Unfortunately I can't currently host, as I'm currently traveling! I hope to be able to host properly when I return to Canada.

I've had the good fortune to be hosted by a few wonderful hosts, and I greatly enjoyed talking to them and getting their perspectives on their city

I'm a total bookworm, so I love everything literature related! I also really enjoy sports of all kinds, especially soccer, and almost all genres of music.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love pretty much all books, but I'm a particularly big fan of George Orwell's 1984. The Game of Thrones series (and tv show) is also marvelous. I enjoy most movies, and I absolutely love alternative rock. If we ever meet, get me to recommend some awesome Canadian bands!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I think one of the coolest things I've done is go on a family trip to South Africa. I went about 10 years ago, when I was rather young, but it was absolutely incredible. It was such a mix of amazing sights, like safaris and Victoria Falls, as well as a total culture shock. Some of the differences between South Africa and Canada, such as the racial awareness and the abject poverty some live in made me aware of how incredibly different some parts of the world are from my hometown.

I enjoy meeting anyone who has a different background or perspective from myself. As long as someone is willing to share their experiences and views, I'm happy to listen!
