Love being outdoors whenever I can but when we travel we like to see everything; museums, neat dinners, hiking trails, historical locations, parks, beaches, local shops and grocers. My son is 13 and loves an adventure, even real ones that don't involve video games. We have spent time camping, hiking, swimming, exploring old mines, exploring caves. At the same time we love museums and just learning !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Want to travel with my son and show him how great the United States is! On a tight budget as a single mom this can be challenging but I am determined to do it with him.

Interests

I cook professionally and maybe not at the level of Master or Red seal but with passion. I want people to love food and love how food can heal us and make us healthy. Sitting on the beach reading a good book is a great way to spend an afternoon, while I love swimming my son loves it more! He could literally spend the entire day in the water and around the waters edge exploring. Going to a new city is super exciting because we love to explore it's shops, parks and museums. We love learning and at any one time we have 40 books out from the library and any time we can we buy them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked to an abandoned mine that is filled with water! We same across the mine despite our fears about what might be living in the water. Jumped off one of the ledges into the water which was one of the scariest things I've done. But it was great watching my son fearlessly do it over and over again!

Teach, Learn, Share

Want to learn as much as we can about the cities we travel to. I want to teach my son how to feel more comfortable in crowds and large groups. I hope to share my cooking skills with some people who love food!
