I'm an extrovert to hide that I'm an introvert, nothing bad about being an introvert, it's just harder to get in touch with people immediately.
After midnight I get really philosophical and we might be talking till morning about really deep stuff.
I do smalltalk, but I'm not good with it. But ask me what I think the world will be like in a few years or what the point of life is or what colour peoples auras might be and you will have to make me shut up somehow.
I'm a strict vegetarian, because I believe that life is sacred and I really like cooking. It somehow relaxes me :) I'm still in the process of developing my skills, though.
"A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting." - Doctor Who
"After all, I still believe that people are real good at heart." - Anne Frank
"If you can be anything, be kind."
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophecy failure.
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it.
Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing,
That "cannot be done", and you'll do it.
- It Couldn't Be Done by Edgar Albert Guest
I started couchsurfing wnen I was living abroad for a year, in a place people acctually wanted to go :D
I surfed a few times, hosted a few times, always amazing and purely positive experiences so far!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to get to know the real world, not just the tourist world, if you know what I mean. The best way to get to know a place is to stay far away from the hotels.
I've seen a lot of all-inclusive hotel areas and for tourists build parts of cities in my childhood and you never get to see how life really is in a place, because you hide behind the safe fence and enjoy luxury on the beach. And you say you've been to a country, but in fact you haven't. You've just been part of a play like in theatre, seperated from what this country and it's culture is really about.
MUSIC! (that one's for sure), I was playing the baritone and the recorder, currently I am working on my guitar skills, singing out loud, dancing when I'm alone, my true first love and it'll also be my last.
Running, karate, hiking, mountainbiking, gymnastics, artistic cycling, snowboarding, swimming, any kind of sport really.
I play Quidditch! No, I am not kidding you, if you are around during practice you can join and try it yourself, it's the best sport in the muggle world!
And of course since I'm on here: Travel! so many places to go, so many things to see, so many people to meet, where do I start?
Music, Movies, and Books
The Little Prince
The Flowers of Hiroshima
Waiting for the Barbarians
L'Élégance du hérisson
Dead poet society
Into the Wild
any movie by Jim Jarmusch
basically everything except Metal, Techno, Hip Hop, but if you know good songs, I'm still open to giving it a try
and so many many more
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved out with 18 to live a year alone in a country I hadn't been in with a language I didn't speak (Macedonia). One of the best experiences of my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some German or Macedonian.
As I am myself fairly new to this town we can discover it together, I have not yet been to all of those castles around, and I can show you nice places I already found :)
Do you like cooking? Because I do!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My favourite places, my (to be enlarged) knowledge about the town
My kitchen ;)
My thoughts on stuff, just ask for it
