ABOUT ME

I'm a recent university graduate and have moved to Paris for the year to become an au pair. I enjoy looking after children but mostly I am here to learn French. I love playing hockey and tennis and currently I am a member of the Paris Gospel Choir. I was previously on the charity committee at my university and enjoy volunteering. Last summer I went to Uganda for month to help build a playground and run arts and games classes, after spending the year fundraising £1000. I also volunteered in Romania for 5 weeks to help teach English to children. As a guest I am clean, considerate and probably quite shy although I love meeting new people and sharing stories.

PHILOSOPHY

I am afraid I have yet to construct an answer to this question that I would be completely sure of. I'm still very young so as of now I'm just looking to explore the world a bit more and take each day as it comes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am living in a teeny tiny studio in Paris so whilst I'd love to have guests, with the space it physically isn't possible. I am looking to explore more of France and Europe during my year here and meet some interesting people along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a complete newbie to couch surfing! However my sister has had many successful experiences and recommended it to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter. Sorry I went there, but it was my childhood growing up to those books! I like pretty much all music except for anything too heavy metal. As for books I've currently taken a turn into reading a few more classics (being in Paris makes me feel I should be more cultured) At the moment I'm 1/2 way through Jane Eyre and enjoying it more than I thought I would!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the children in Uganda run onto their new playground for the first time was probably the best thing I've ever seen. Especially after months of fundraising and a month of building to make that moment possible. Priceless.
