ABOUT ME

I decided to take a new turn in my life last year when I decided to become a scuba diving instructor. Until that, I was a teacher and researcher in computer science in the south of France. I loved it but I want to have different jobs in my life. I like challenges !

PHILOSOPHY

I like to laugh at everything ; I find it's a big quality for someone to be able to laugh at himself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

During my travels, many of my best moments were when I met local people who introduced me to the country, their way of life and thinking. Some of them eventually invited me at their home, which is a great way to discover and learn from people with different styles/countries/languages. So I'm interested in CS to get it easier to meet people who want to share something !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did it a few times, when meeting nice people during travels. I actually have a friend who has been participating on this website for a few years (I met some of his guests); that gave me the desire to join.

Interests

Apart from scuba diving of course, I like to juggle, ski, play chess and games in general. Interested in photography (did some darkroom processing), folding paper to make animals..

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock and electro music, as well as classical and contemporary. Some movies that I really liked, to get an idea: Solaris, the Prestige, Old boy, Inception, True grit, Black swan. Concerning books, these days I'm reading Ryle (Philosophy of mind, interesting !) and Descartes, although I don't read very often. I enjoy painting and photography books.
