ABOUT ME

Hey everyone!
I'm Jérôme 27, I'm French, still student (yeah I know .. someday I'll work) and I'm currently living in Japan as an exchange student in Kobe.
I'm basically trying to enjoy life as much as I can, for now it means living the dream I had for years to live in Japan.
Usually it means being close to the people I love, meet people , parties, music, cinema, practicing sports but just for fun, and staying a kid as much as possible!
It made me happy up to now !

PHILOSOPHY

Whatever what are my belongings all that matters is love! My girlfriend, my family, my friends, as long as I have them I'll be happy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I am living in a host family during this year in Japan I can't host anybody but I'll be happy to share my place when I'm back in Lyon because I love this city and even more when I can show it to other people!
While in Japan I'll just try to be good couch surfer :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet with couch surfing but I like to have people home and am always happy to host people when they need a place to sleep.
A couple of weeks before leaving for Japan I was corresponding with a Japanese guy I didn't know who lives in Osaka.
He told me in one of his letters that he was on a trip across Europe so I offered him to come to Lyon to visit the city thinking would never come..
He actually arrived 2 days later changing his plans and stayed with me for 3 days.
I'm now in Japan living very close from him and see him everyday! in such a short period of time we became true friends...

Interests

Music, Cinema, japanese animation, JAPAN! nature, forests, the Sea, sports (Wind Surfing, Squash, Roller Blade, Volleyball..), hiking.. trips of course but that's someting we all share, and whatever else you'll want to show me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
-Rock: especially Brit rock but American, French, Japanese and Scandinavian too (more specificaly Muse, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cardigans, Razorlight, the Do, Emilie Simon, Sambomaster, Tokyo Jihen ... and many many more)
-Jazz: especially live Jazz, recent as much as old, Blues...
-Folk, Pop and a little bit of everything else
oh yeah and Jack Jonhson!

Cinema : even more difficult to sum up but mainly american and English movies.. various types.
I prefer small movies but I have nothing against big hollywood movies either, I especially love Sean Penn or Clint Eastwood movies but I'm also a big fan of Disneys and Pixars.. I also love every single second of Makoto Shinkai's animated movies.
Just a quick selection of my favorite movies : Juno, Little Miss Sunshine, Into the Wild, Away we Go, The 3 Toy Story, Matrix, Byosoku 5 Centimeters...

I also love animation: once again mainly small projects but also big popular animes
Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy, Seirei no Moribito, Darker Than Black, Gurren Lagan, Bleach, One Piece..

This one year trip I'm doing far from all the people I love is quite an amazing thing for me!
