ABOUT ME

I love to travel, especially by bicycle. I enjoy being outdoors--pretty much in any capacity: camping, walking around, biking, sitting in a park. I like fresh air, sunshine, rain, the elements. I really like discovering new things (or things that are new to me) and showing other people around to interesting things I've discovered.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Over the years I've couch surfed through friends, friends of friends, exes of friends, and friendly people who became friends, but I'm new to the official CouchSurfing site.

Interests

In addition to travel and exploring, I volunteer a lot. My main focus is helping with Neighborhood Bike Works in Philadelphia where I volunteer with the Earn-a-Bike program. In 8 weeks we teach our students to build a bike and maintain it, then they get to ride home with the bike they built. I also enjoy photography, writing, reading, exploring (did I mention that already), and meeting people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've biked around Rapa Nui (Easter Island). The dogs on the island followed me around and we camped on the beach.
