About Me

To meet many interesting people from many walks of life. To see things that I've only seen in magazines. To boldly go where no one has gone before.

Where do I even begin? Ever since I was a child, I've wanted to see the world. There are so many places with such rich history and culture, that I hope I never have to stop travelling. I've always had a big interest in all things past. From architecture to religion, this world has a seemingly endless supply of knowledge. It is my hope to absorb as much of that knowledge as I can in my short time on this earth.

Culture has also been something that's always peaked my interests. The diversity that this world harbours is absolutely astounding. Learning what I can about a person's culture and wisdom is one of the biggest motivators that I have for travel.

All that aside, I'm your typical nerdy type. I love all things cinematic, but prefer genres like sci-fi, fantasy, and action. I play my fair share of video games, but make sure that I find time to enjoy the simpler things in life. When it comes to books, my interests usually fall within the same area as my movie tastes.

In between work and school, I do what I can to keep myself active. I go to the gym about 3-4 times a week. I practice the medieval arts of fencing. I larp (okay, so I'm really nerdy). I also enjoy camping and hiking when I can find the time.

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head. I'm an open book though, so by all means message me! I'd love to make some new friends from just about anywhere in the world.

Life is something that we all have to deal with. Whether it's good or bad (but usually an even mix of both), learning to respect those around us is something we all should try our best to do. Because, you never really know just how someone else's life is going for them. So be kind to those you meet, and hopefully they'll return the favor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing is definitely something new to me. I've yet to host anyone, as I don't quite have the space. I've also never surfed before, so take pride in knowing that one of you may just be my first experience!

None yet, but I hope to make some really great memories!

I've answered much of this higher up on my profile. But feel free to ask away!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies and TV:
-Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate (Lots of stars lol), Lord of the Rings, Breaking Bad, Sherlock Holmes (this covers movies, tv AND books), and so much more. Seriously, that list could take forever.

-Prodigy, Daft Punk, Bad Religion, Offspring, Skrillex, Bass Nectar, Dropkick, Flogging Molly, etc etc. Basically anything techno/electronic, punk or metal and I'm sold.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My area (of Toms River, NJ, USA) was dead center for Hurricane Sandy, considered to be the largest Atlantic hurricane ever recorded. Leaving my home the following morning to see boats parked in the middle of the street, empty lots where houses once stood, and more water than I could imagine was quite amazing, if not morbid. But the really amazing thing was to see all of the people in my community come together to help one another in a time of great need. And for a place like New Jersey, that's really saying something lol.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wouldn't consider myself a master of many subjects, but I have a fondness for things like spirituality, science, philosophy, and history. I've been a historical re-enactor for quite some time now, so I know a bit about medieval and pre-victorian europe.

My favorite things to learn about from others would be topics like personal philosophies and religious/spiritual beliefs. I also love cultural oddities lol.
