i was born in a bathtub on a farm near byron bay australia. when i first opened my eyes my vision of the world was twisted and distorted through several layers of bathwater, my spyche was then preparing me for the life of a water creature. my mother looked on proudly with swimming eyes as i swam perfect breast stroke around the tub, "my son will be a champion swimmer", my father looked on thoughtfully, he knew i would be a diver of deep waters, a hunter of pearls and treasure. as i swam through the murky waters, my body trying to form flippers and gills, my fathers two giant hands tore through my world and brought me into theres. my brain reeled with evolutionary confusion, my little hands and feet, pointed out to form fins, trembled, and though i could not read there minds, my parents hopefull eyes forever seered there dreams onto my mind. when i became the age for water sports i was enevitably in a pool, hating to dissapoint my parents i would swim laps like mad when my mother was watching, when i would see my fathers silhoutte i would dive down to the bottom and cavort around for treasure, though the things i found in my time diving public swimming pools i would say differred greatly from treasure. both my parents where overjoyed by my progress, and for years i thought that there dreams and my dreams directly corresponded. little did i know that in a most remote place of my heart there was a delicate little bubble containing my overshadowed though potent dreams. when i finally felt the existance of this little bubble i realised that i would have to travel far and see many places to unravel the secrets of my dreams. today i swim competatively in breaststroke and the 100m butterfly, i have found many pearls and i am in the process of making my father a necklace for his retirement. i am still waiting for that time when i wake up with my dreams throbbing in my chest telling me where to go.
at the moment, see as much as i can with an open mind and heart, and be kind.
