ABOUT ME

I'm a easy going fun guy. I like to consider myself the literal definition of the flow...but I guess there are others in my life that are more spontaneous. Bottom line is to find the beauty in everything, which can be hard at times but makes it all the more rewarding. Humor has always been important, because if you can't laugh at yourself then whats the point.

PHILOSOPHY

Do to others as you wish others to do to you. Manners, etiquette and intelligence will get you far in life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couch surfed (at least relating to this website), but I have been a part of a household that supported couch surfers and always had a pleasant experience. Yosemite helped at that point in life because everything there was a bit of a community lifestyle to begin with.

Now that I've always depended on myself or at least planned a trip where I would camp it almost makes me feel guilty asking someone to open their home to a stranger. But then again, I've done it for other people and the sincerity in their thanks and the glimpse into her life made it worth every bit.

兴趣

Photography, hiking, meeting new people, and watching every movie known to man (which will never happen, but one can dream...maybe I'll just stick to the good ones).

Movies - Anything by Quentin Tarantino, Pedro Almodovar, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and (most of at least) Terry Gilliam. The Fall, Pan's Labyrinth, Legend, The Dark Crystal, LOTR, Insidious, Bringing Up Baby, Pillow Talk, Father Goose, What A Way To Go...the list goes on.

Books - Anthem, Jane Erye, Outlander (series), Stupid and Contagious, Agnus and the Hitman...

Music - Really has to do with the mood and can be anything but I guess collectively my facorite artists are...Yard Dog Road Show, The Head and the Heart, CCR, The Glitch Mob, Daft Punk, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Squirrel Nut Zippers, and Sinatra (Nancy and Frank)...

I love teaching people about photography and am never short of pointers to give your photograph that extra touch from average to amazing. Whether it's in Photoshop, techniques with lenses, or just learning how to place subjects in the right position I'm never short of advice. And likewise every photographer can stand to learn something new (and if they say they don't, they're probably not that great, I believe being humble is one of the joys of art).
