Hi, I'm Jess! I'm a North Carolinian through and through but I was raised in a Northern family, so I don't have the accent to prove it. I love backpacking, traveling ultra-light, and thrifting. If I won the lottery I would buy a tiny apartment in every major city in Europe, and probably spend any left over cash on Etsy or at a Restore.

Before I die I want to shake Condoleezza Rice's hand, see the Northern Lights, and visit every state in America. But until then I'll keep working towards this Bachelor degree at UNC!

I sing in the Carolina Women's Glee club, play on an intramural volleyball team, work at Carolina Performing Arts, and keep active through yoga, Zumba, and hiking with our campus recreation center. My favorite classes are Astronomy and French and I could talk about them for ages.

I'm new at Couch Surfing, and can't wait to join this beautiful community of vagabonds. Hope to see you during the next adventure!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a helicopter ride around Kauai, HI and it was fantastic. I've also backpacked Pisgah National Forest in the Appalachian mountains twice and sung at Carnegie Hall in NYC. Oh, and one time Mick Jagger line skipped me to get coffee. That was pretty cool.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can play the ukulele and guitar, and I love to sing. I'm also a vegetarian and all about yoga! I'd love to share some great veggie recipes or teach a few of my favorite poses.

My favorite thing in the world is sharing stories about travel and life experiences. Ask me about the time I was an extra in the Hunger Games for a few weeks or when I hiked Athabasca Glacier in Canada!
