I am currently in downtown Durham NC and am in my last year of my PhD program in Environmental Epidemiology at UNC. When I am not studying I am playing with my 4 year old great dane (known as "The Emma"), running trails, and CrossFitting (yes, I am one of those people), and cycling. I love meeting new people and I have traveled extensively over the years and would love to meet more new adventurists/travelers and offer my home for others passing through the Durham/Chapel Hill/Raleigh area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used couchsurfing for the first time on a bike tour recently and love the idea of hosting people, meeting new people from around the world, and offering a place/receiving a place to stay to allow for a more friendly and affordable way to travel.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have 3 other roomies but a private room with 2 couches for those who want to crash on it and/or an air mattress. You can definitely grab a warm shower or soak in the claw foot tub, and I will be more than happy to feed you, as I am an avid foodie! I live in downtown Durham where there is lots to see and about 1/2 mile from a bike shop, 1 mile from the train/bus station, and have a car with a bike rack if needed for additional assistance.
