I am a grad student at the University of Michigan studying Communication Studies because I am frustrated by the portrayals of marginalized people on screen and I am obsessed with reality TV. I was previously at Vassar College in NY, and I'm from Arizona, so I've moved all around the country. I love traveling and hiking and exploring the out-of-the-way sites across the country and the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling on my own, but I find that I'm too awkward to sit in a restaurant for dinner by myself or go out at night. I'd like to find a buddy on here to make that part of solo traveling easier.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love soft & alt rock music, and I've been known to finagle my traveling routes to see bands I like. I've been saying that I will "read before I watch" Game of Thrones for years, and I'm struggling through the fifth book now, so no spoilers please! (Update: I have finished the book and then watched three seasons in ten days because valar dohaeris.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Might not be too amazing, but I've moved to three different places without knowing anyone there each time (for college, study abroad, and grad school). It takes a lot to wipe the friendship slate clean , but I love what I'm doing enough to keep on wandering!
