Hello. I'm Jessica. I am from New York, but now I live in San Francisco. I studied math in undergrad and then went on to the noble profession of software developer, during which my primary job was refactoring other people's code.
I recently quit my boring job to travel and learn more about myself (and the world)! I like many things, including efficiency, math, biking, baking, eating, cute fridge magnets, saying the word "horrible" with a Brooklyn accent, animals that hate people, and nice people who can teach me new things. Things I do not like include: poop, mosquitoes, wasting time, and bad UX.
I also have some skill in drawing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in meeting people while traveling because it enhances the experience of travel. I've seen a lot of different cities, but the ones I remember the most favorably have been ones when I spent time with others getting to know the places.
I also like having friends in different places. I usually send them postcards.

I like house, chillout, bossanova, and silence.
My favorite movie is 2046 by Wong Kar-wai.
My favorite book is I.N. Herstein Topics in Algebra solutions manual.
I also like Bloomability, by Sharon Creech. It is a very profound children's novel. I recommend this book.
