About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To fully experience life.

ABOUT ME

I am a 20 year old student, studying Sociology and Pre-Medicine in Copenhagen Denmark. I consider myself to be a kind person who's always willing to help others. In addition, I am a very trustworthy person. I also consider myself an intellectual, always in search of new information. I am also an adventurer and a free spirit and love going to new places where I can spend my time searching for the coziest coffee shop and taking in the beauty around me. I'm very open minded and accepting.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that every individual person plays an important part in another person's life. Whether they're only briefly part of that person's life or they're an active player for a long time, their affect on others' life is immeasurable. It could be a positive or a negative affect but either way their impact is great. I wake up every morning hoping to have a positive impact on another person's life. I hope that by even smiling at someone as I walk down the street I can help make their day a little better; be a positive impact for even that smallest moment. I want to help others. In my desire to help others I also live to travel and meet new people so that I can gain a greater understanding of all kinds of people. In this way I can strive to positively impact even more people. Furthermore, by traveling and meeting new people I hope that I can gain understanding and knowledge from them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to personally have a Couchsurfing experience myself but I've heard many positive things from my friend who spent 3 weeks traveling through Europe and Couchsurfing. He had incredible stories of the welcoming and interesting hosts he met along the way.

Interests

In my free time I enjoy playing violin and have been playing since I was young. As comes with being a musician, I love all kinds of music and enjoy searching for artists and bands I've never heard of. I've found that music is a universal language that inspires and connects all people, no matter their differences. Because of this I love talking about music with people, discovering their interests and what exactly it is that they love about their music interests. In addition to my love of music, I love discussing intellectual topics. I especially have an interest in Sociology and how it relates to poverty, immigration, and other social inequalities. In addition, I have a passion for medicine and enjoy hearing about and discussing new medical discoveries. I also love exploring new places in my free time. I've found that the best places to discover in a new city are those in which many tourists don't venture to; those hidden gems. I enjoy visiting cafes since I love coffee! I love writing, and find journaling to be very therapeutic and rewarding. I'm always open to new ideas and find that meeting new people gives me incredible opportunities to be exposed to new perspectives, ideas, and interests.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I traveled to El Salvador I encountered people who lived in conditions one would consider unsuitable for a family. Even so, when they would approach me and my family to sell whatever it is they happened to be selling, their eyes betrayed not sadness or destitution but rather hope and strength. Their perseverance and hope is one of the most amazing things that I've seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone has something they can teach others. For me, through my own personal story, I hope I can teach others the value of life and the love that they're surrounded by. I hope that I can teach perseverance and the idea of living life to the fullest, savoring each moment for the beautiful thing that it is. Just as I hope to teach these things to others I hope to learn these things even more fully through others' experiences in life.
