Just turn 21!
College girl (and yes I'm still labeling myself as a girl!)from Hong Kong, currently an exchange student in Indiana. deeply in love with culture, food and writings. have just started an affair with photography, hope it works. Always craving for icecream, be it summer or winter, always in a dilemma of eating as much as I can to appreciate the foodscape of a place and keeping myself in a good body figure.
There is never a city without content.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing only. As I lived with my parents in a super-duper small and cramped flat in Hong Kong, I would not be able to host, but would love to when I am able to move out!
g r e e n
Started surfing after going to the States since August 2013, traveling around the States is my goal for 2013-14. Started from states and cities nearby, like Indianapolis and Cincinnati, I have left my CS footprints in the west coast and upcoming in the east!
exploring small and trivial bits of cities, strolling on streets and stop whenever I like to, seeing(everything), reading, photography, eat whenever I feel Iike.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
when pedestrians on streets are highly suspected to be actors and actresses in North Korea;
the first sunset in 2014 in Grand Canyon
Teach, Learn, Share
CS is not about sleep and play. It is not about money. It is never a realistic conception. It is always romantic.
Being a host, it is about un-learning your previous perceptions and judgments on the city and re-learn the city with your couchsurfers as a freshmen. Re-experience the excitement and multifaceted city with an open mind!
Being a couchsurfer, I always feel like I am not an ordinary tourist as those in package tours, and i am proud to tell others I am a CSer. It is not only about being adventurous and bold, but also the willingness to emerge into the culture with the locals and meet international people.Let's enjoy cultural shock!
