Travel to new places and live like the locals! Meet new friends!
I'm a grad student at the University of Iowa, finishing up my Master's in Public Health. I was a medic in the Army for 10 years, just finished that up this month and am happy to put it behind me, only for the freedom to travel where I want, when I want.
Live and let live!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I saw the ocean, I was absolutely amazed. Same with the Rocky Mountains. Growing up in Iowa, those were completely foreign to me.
Standing in the shadow of the Pyramids in Egypt, and then going up inside one despite my minor claustrophobia... awesome.
I was deployed to Iraq in 2006, and worked in a Civil Affairs clinic working with local women and children. The day the cost of the war really hit home for me was the day a woman brought her little boy in to be checked out and told me, the female interpreter, and the female doctor about how terrorists had killed every male in her family except for that little boy. That day, I was awestruck in a very bad way.
Countries I’ve Visited
