Finding a sustainable way of non-violent education
I'm dissatisfied with our education system and I want to create/find an alternative that I can see myself live with. I started a blog (in German, see homepage) on this search and I experiment on different ways to educate people in a way where you don't have to force them to learn stuff they are not interested in. My vision here is to kickstart an open-source school development movement where people are experimenting with their ideas, share them and inspire others to do so themselves. I want teachers to be visionaries and creators, not simple executives.
Lately I've become more and more interested in playing music in the streets because everyone (even homeless people) can listen to you, but they don't have to. I also started writing short stories and just publishing them for free at bus stops because then everyone can chose to read them or not, learn from them or not. I want to find a form of education that works with the same principle, but it's an adventure that's probably going to keep me occupied for quite a long time to come. But I like adventures anyway, so that's actually quite awesome.
I've moved to Kiel, Germany now to work there in some alternative school. I can't host anyone right now because I'm sharing a flat with other people and we don't have keys to lock rooms and I don't want some of their stuff be stolen. I trust you guys to be awesome, but it's a different story if not my stuff but that of my friends get stolen. Perhaps in the long run I could host you in the school I'm working in, but I gotta work this out first.
A nice, friendly hug to all you readers of this description, and may your paths be wondrous.
I personally follow a philosophy of radical honesty (I never lied since I was 14) and non-violence. And I really like the concept of inclusion, both in a sociological way and as a way of communication.
I believe strongly in the act of giving to the world, thus forming and sustaining connections, and how it is the only thing that really stays long after you are gone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted some bikers so far, all somewhat unrealistic (two wanted to go to China via bike) but yet quite awesome people. I like those big dreamers who just try to make those dreams come true and not stop at the dreaming phase, and I'm hoping to meet more of them yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The best year in my life was definitely going to Brazil without speaking any word of Portugues and then traveling around Bolivia and Brazil without much of a plan. Pretty naive, especially when we went hiking for three days in a national park without a guide and kind of ran out of food and strength to go back (and nearly stepped on that really poisonous snake). We managed to return, if only just barely, but I loved it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak fluent German and English and medium Portuguese, so I could teach some I guess.
I play guitar for 10 years now, I could teach it too.
I love to write, mostly articles about education in general, but for a few months now, also short stories. And songs, obviously. I cannot just play the songs of others all my life when there's so much inside me that the world might be interested in...
I got quite some experience in learning and teaching stuff in general, so if you like to discuss education, I love to do that ;)
