About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing a bit more of this planet, meeting a few more of its people

ABOUT ME

I am travelling about the norther hemisphere at the moment. I've been here since October 2010 and have my flights booked to return home in October 2011. Since leaving home, I've been to:
- Switzerland
- Italy
- Kenya
- France
- UK
- Egypt
and am now in Portugal, planning my next step. I'm booked into pueblo ingles to do some volunteer work 20-27th May.

PHILOSOPHY

In a phrase:
"How hard could it be!?!"

and then I find out just how hard it is...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm participating by sleeping on couches (or even sofas, I'm not fussy) right now. I've previously had many people sleeping on mine back home, but not through an organised site - although my friend has, which is what put me onto this site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been very lucky to have lots of friends and family put me up on this trip, and show me around the area that I've been staying in, but no amazing experiences to tell the story of just yet.

Interests

Arts
-photography (although my camera's broken)
-painting
-writing: I just started a travel blog (www.storiesbyjet.blogspot.com)
Sports:
- scuba diving (have advanced PADI)
- snowboarding
- jogging, yoga, cycling
Also very sociable, and have a professional interest in health and science.
Food - love to cook good food, love to eat good food.
Languages - love picking up words and phrases, and started actively learning French over my 3 months in Geneva. But I'm not very good yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have very ecclectic taste.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went diving in the Red Sea. I was the biggest fish in the aquarium. It was a truly beautiful and amazing experience. The people that I met on the trip transformed it from a good experience to an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

what to say!? there is so much one COULD say here. TEACH: edit your photos before showing others. If there are 4 shots that are really similar, choose the best one, and don't show the other 3.
LEARN: I want to learn other approaches to life, problems, how other people see things and deal with them. Is there a better way I could be doing stuff?
SHARE: share laughter. Make people laugh and it will make you laugh and it will make the world a happier place.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Egypt, France, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
