About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My life mission? To be a civil rights and civil liberties lawyer and eventually a 1st grade teacher. My current mission? Figuring out whether strawberries are really a necessary part of having strawberries and whipped cream for dessert.
ABOUT ME
I am a legal intern this summer in Detroit and I'm looking to take advantage of my location and experience Canada for the first time. My favorite things in life are kicking the soccer ball around, going to poetry slams, reading short story collections, eating ice cream, and working with kids, but my guilty pleasures include Olsen twin movies and free food. I am interested in social movements, immigration reform, civil liberties, criminal justice, and education policy, and I am always on the lookout for opportunities to throw festive dinner parties. I'm also a decent cook, very clean, and a very easy going guest!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a brand new couchsurfer and I'm psyched to be a part of the community. Unfortunately, I am living on an air mattress for the summer so I don't have a couch of my own to offer, but I've added it to my list of future life goals. In the meantime, my friends and I are traveling to Toronto at the end of June and we're hoping this trip can be the perfect introduction to the couchsurfing experience.
