ABOUT ME

My husband Chris and I currently live in Denver, Colorado. We've lived in 5 states together since we met each other in 2005, and we have enjoyed getting to know new areas. We're big on road trips and love to get out and find new adventures without spending big bucks. Our latest adventure will begin in February 2011 -- we are walking from New Orleans to New York! The majority of our time will be spent walking the Natchez Trace Parkway and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We've started a blog, we'd love for you to take a look: www.americaonfoot.blogspot.com

I have an interior design degree, and I run my own business designing sewing patterns and distributing them to sewing shops around the country. I love sewing, hanging out with good friends, visiting new places, hiking, and being outside. My husband Chris has an environmental conservation background (including trail work and wildland firefighting) and is planning to go to law school when we complete our trip.

I'm new to this site, but I'm excited about meeting new people and seeing new places!

My husband and I are starting out on a 6 month walk from New Orleans, Louisiana to New York City, New York beginning in February. We hope to meet a lot of new people along the way and explore areas of our country we've never seen before!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no experience using this website so far, but I have hosted plenty of friends-of-friends before, and I have been hosted by many of willing hosts when I am traveling to other cities.
