ABOUT ME

I am a fun loving, outgoing girl. Pretty down to earth, trying to be a little more "go with the flow" every day. I am very open minded and enjoy other open minded people.
Traveling is my greatest passion, and is currently calling me to take time off from University (cross-cultural psych/anthropology degree... but that is always changing!) to head to New Zealand! The heart wants what the heart wants right...!

I am currently working as a server and barista to facilitate my travel.
I have not yet figured out what I'd like to do occupationally, but I figure I have a lot of time to figure that out... Right now... it would be anything that would involve travel : )

I enjoy being in good company, sharing a glass of wine, bottle of beer or cup of coffee. I love hearing about others travels and stories.

I truly think all people need to travel and experience the places and people in this world. It puts many aspect of life into perspective.

Right now I am only looking to surf, as I do not have the means to host - but I am very much looking forward to hosting some wayward travelers some day! : )

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed once in Italy- Was a very interesting experience!!!
No electricity, no hot water, but was it ever a good time!

Interests

My greatest interest at the moment is traveling. I love being in new places and smelling the air. To try to experience the country I am in, in the eyes of those who call it home.

Psychology, English literature, Anthropology.
Astronomy- I find space and the stars utterly fascinating.
World History... except for post colonial north america.

I enjoy being outdoors, I would love to try more water sports and to get past the beginner phase of horseback riding!

I love animals! I would be a vet if I wasn't so squeamish about invasive procedures.
I enjoy acting and the thrill of being on stage.

I enjoy going out and having a good time (whatever that may mean at that given moment), driving, breathing the fresh air of the country, and being near water!

Listening to the stories others have to tell. I am passionate about learning.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Avatar. I don't care about all the negative comments people have about this movie. I think it is incredible - the people working on this movie had the opportunity to create something completely new. Had the opportunity to let their imaginations fly. I love this movie.

Inception. Amazing concept, oh the power of dreams. loved every minute of it!

Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I love this series more than words can describe. One of the propelling factors for my desire to travel to New Zealand.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have ridden on the back of a camel as the sun set over the Thar Desert.

I have stood on the highest peak of the Sieve League in Ireland, looked out over the Atlantic Ocean as the fog rolled back and a rainbow appeared... I wonder if there was a pot of gold at the end!?

I have had the amazing opportunity to make friends with people from all over the world, and look forward to making more : )

I am so grateful for my multitude of experiences and I look forward to where my feet will carry me next
