About Me

Looking for a good host for me and Joris in Lagos & Odemira & Faro (Portugal)! Looking forward to it :)

hmmm well, where shall i begin. i'm a student, so offcourse like most students i guess, i like to meet with friends and drink a cocktail somewhere! I also like going out, but i can enjoy a quite evening at home with a movie (and my blancket) too.
I absolutly love animals! Almost all kinds make me go ooooooh how cute! The preservation of nature and global warming are subject were i'm very passionate about. That's why i'm studying to work with animals/nature/ecology.
I really like to buy spices from all sorts of foreign countries and try them at home while cooking.

My philosophy is that we all can learn from each-other. Instead of focussing on the differences between cultures or people or religions (like sadly most people in this world do) i think it's better to focus on the thing we have in common. Differences don't necessarly have to be a problem or create anxiety or hate or any other negative feeling, instead we can learn from our differences and learn to respect eachother. I just don't see why so many people in the world make such big problems over the 'others', and that can be people who have another religion or just somebody who doesn't listen to the same music of whatever. Sometimes i feel really frustrated about it.
Another thing to what i'm trying to live my life is, that i don't do anything to another person or animal or any kind of lifeform, that i wouldn't like others to do to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm willing to have a drink or a coffee somewhere nearby with people who are travelling but i'm also interested to go couchsurfing myself! Maybe in the future i will also be a host for travellers, but not right now! I believe hosting would be better when i have my own place because now i'm still a student and live at home / a dorm in the city where i study.

Last summer me and some friends went to macedonia to do some volunteerwork/camp. We went by car so we were a couple days on the road. We passed through slovenia and had a break there with somebody a friend of my knew. He had a lovely house there on a mountain. This was the most nice experience i had on that trip. The people were so warm and welcoming and this on a location that's just to magical for words! We had to gather wood to make a campfire in the evening, and we ate only the biological vegies from the garden, it was the best meal a had, so simple and so pure.

i'm interested in other cultures, and that interest is a very broad concept because i mean the people, the clothes, the environment, the buildings, the food, the local customs, ... This september me and joris are traveling in Portugal, our boundries are Faro and Evora but everything inbetween goes !
