About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking forward to meeting friendly people when I travel or who are visiting New York City when I am not traveling.

ABOUT ME

I am a lifelong New Yorker and I love to explore my city. I also travel every chance I get. Since I usually prefer to travel alone, I thought that couchsurfing would be a great way to meet people when I am on the road.

PHILOSOPHY

This about sums it up (at least, as it relates to travel):
"If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay home." -- James A. Michener

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't know yet--still figuring this all out!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just joined so no experience yet.

Interests

I love all kinds of cultural activities, meeting people from different cultures, dancing (especially salsa) and of course, traveling. I speak Spanish and am always looking for opportunities to practice and improve, and recently I have started trying to learn Portuguese.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I definitely have to start with Machu Picchu--is every bit as magical as the photos suggest. Llamas strolling around the ruins just add to the effect. Second might have to be Iguazu Falls, Argentina, tied with Cappadocia, Turkey. Both are breathtakingly beautiful.
