About Me

My husband and I currently do not have any children, but we do have 3 cats and 1 dog. We have been married and have owned our home for 3 years. We spent the majority of the first three years trying to be frugal with our money aka, we haven't been doing much in the name of adventure until recently. I was always a very adventurous person and am trying to get back into that hobby. I love philosophy and I can see the wonder in seemingly mundane things. I often spend time researching seemingly everyday topics about which I am curious. For example; I wanted to know how menthol products make a person feel cold, or why humans cry, or why 70 degrees can feel cool sometimes and warm other times. I almost always find the answers. I love learning the science behind these interesting topics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like I mentioned in the "About Me" section, my husband and I have just recently started to be more adventurous again after spending the last 3 years being more conservative with our funds. For me, one thing that makes adventures so magical is meeting new people along the way. Couchsurfing seemed like a great way to do just that as well as building diverse friendships. We have a four bedroom house and currently occupy just two of the rooms. So, we have room to share.

Music, Movies, and Books

I hate categories like these because I am constantly discovering new music, movies, and books. I may not remember off the top of my head the amazing pieces of artwork that I experienced a couple of years or even months ago. My "favorites" are always revolving and changing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think one of the most valuable things I can share with hosts is my eagerness to try new things. As a host, I absolutely love to introduce people to things they have not tried. I'm also very polite and considerate and will treat my hosts, as well as their homes, better than my own. I don't ask for too much, but won't make a person "guess" what I'm feeling. Finally, I have a positive attitude and try to see the good in everything.
