Über mich
ABOUT ME
I am a Field and Wildlife biology student in California with a passion for conservation. I love exploring nature as well as new cultures and cities, and I enjoy talking to people with different backgrounds and perspectives than my own. I am friendly, curious, and tolerant, with a quirky sense of humor!
Interessen
Music and dance are passions of mine. I enjoy following the themes and traditions in folk and blues music as they are reinterpreted by different people. In college, I started blues dancing and lindy hopping, which allowed me to feel and interpret music on a physical level. People in blues and swing dance communities are some of the nicest I've met, and I always look for dance venues when I visit a new city.
I like to spent my summers in college exploring new places. I have spent time working at a restaurant in rural Oregon and doing an environmental education project through a National Park in Utah. This summer I am working on a forestry project in northern Wisconsin. When I'm working in a new place, I like to get to know the local people and find out what is important to them. I also spend a lot of time exploring the natural areas and getting to know the local plants and animals! When I leave, I feel that I have a lasting connection to that place.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Seeing a gnarled bristlecone pine tree crowing on an eroded cliff in Utah that has survived for over 1600 years.
Feeling such a strong connection during a dance that I forgot where I was.
Watching a seriously injured owl being released into the woods after helping to rehabilitate it.
