To explore museums, learn history and dance in as many goth clubs as possible, in the US and Europe.
I'm a Canadian girl living in L.A., with a penchant for goth. I bike in protest of the car culture here, but work in online advertising to pay the bills. I study local history in the hopes of writing a book someday, and blog professionally for a major metro blog site, as well as my own. I'm kind of a freak, but I'm happy that way.
You only get so many years to live life. You may as well do and learn as much as you can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Trips with Girl Guides (Girl Scouts), trips with CODEPINK to DC, trips with friends - wherever night finds me, if I can find a couch, I'll take it.
Protesting the war in Iraq, playing adult kickball, supporting progressive politicians and political movements, Los Angeles history, history in general, roadtrips, cheesy Americana, British history, goth clubs, biking & cycle culture, blogging
Music, Movies, and Books
LoTR trilogy, movie and books, ditto, Narnia. Other movies: the Jerk, Monty Python, Heathers, Clerks/Mallrats. Depeche Mode, VNV Nation, Apoptygma Bezerk, Birthday Massacre, Cruxshadows, pretty much anything on the Projeckt or A Different Drum labels, local indie rock (Vagenius, Viva K, etc). Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas and/or anything by Tom Robbins, Margaret Atwood, Ursula K LeGuin, Neil Gaiman, historical fiction and nonfiction, and most of Anne Rice's books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have just seen a lot of America, which I think is pretty amazing in itself.
