About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Rove around taking pictures and collecting rock samples. . . generally exploring mars. -Curiosity

ABOUT ME

My dirty sense of humor permeates my life. If we aren't laughing at something horribly inappropriate we are wasting breath. If you like quips, jokes, and wit, (mostly filthy, the rest are puns) we will get along very well. Playful verbal abuse is also the modus operandi around my apartment. Yes, it is MY apartment. I'm tenant #1 on the lease. I have three roommates. Ben sucks.

PHILOSOPHY

Sunny, upbeat Nihilism.
Nothing matters, so just sit back, enjoy the ride, have a good time and make sure everyone around you is able to do the same. We're all gonna die, so in the meantime have fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to Chicago on a whim with some people I had just met at my hackerspace TC Maker, slept on the couch of someone whom they had just met, and had an awesome time in the process. Everyone was respectful and considerate and hospitable beyond what I could have hoped for. It was a fantastic experience for me and I would love to recreate that experience for others and myself. Other than that, none.

Interests

Sailing, Swing Dancing, Woodworking & Carpentry, Fixing broken things, Used things, cheap living without compromising quality of life, motorcycles (amateur), pedantry (look it up ;)) puns, jokes, shouting at Ben, and GAMES - oh my goodness I love games. be they video- board- card- or party games. I love to compete but losing's half the fun! The other half is complaining about losing! - Also I really appreciate making. Making things I would have to buy otherwise is da bomb. Also the News. Ignorance is bliss but knowledge is power (it also makes for way better conversation).

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything Isaac Asimov has written.
I don't listen to music (*gasp* he's so weird), but I don't mind it either. Public Radio rocks my socks.
I have seen an almost disgusting amount of movies. I like old classics and films I have never seen (I like to operate of a

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw Ben finish a meal without spilling all over himself.

Ok for real now. On the road trip to Chicago that I mentioned in my "experiences" section, I got to drive a racecar in the Pow Pow Powerwheels Racing Series. I wish we all lived in the early nineties so I could get away with calling the experience righteous, tubular, radical, most excellent, and all around not bogus. I barely appear in this, but I have purple pants on. The video says more than I could with words and captures the race perfectly.
