Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
being myself, but more and better!
ABOUT ME
I poke my nose in way too many places, a finger in at least one of each pots and stirring, tend to passions that refuse to be categorized into neat stacks, and bridle a drive to learn as much as i can in skills and information.
PHILOSOPHY
live and let live
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted friends and friends of friends in my house often, wherever i lived. The house-salon, which is a passing-through environment for new people and new ideas appeals to me very much, and has been to the extent that it was possible. My perfect house would be a "prohodnoi dvor", the best term i can think of being Russian for " a cluttered rowdy yard which is necessary to pass through to get to own's elsewhere", and i mean in the best way possible, with merriment, exchange of stimuli and valuable temporality in each other's existence.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i have not couchsurfed with this website yet. I am so very new.
Interests
sewing my life away; fixing the holes where the rain gets through; wandering in wonderment; reading till my eyes are raw; urban environments especially with odd angles; biking in through and around; considering art; cutting, pasting and gluing all mattersome papper, fabric, rubber, yarn and; collecting thistles, watches and confusing cutlery; number- crunching; granola-munching, applying myself to the production, search and consumption of amazing food.

Music, Movies, and Books
mythical, legendary, classical, nostalgic, painful, stomach-churning, utopian, distopian, magically realistic, really magical, magistrally regal, new, worn, smelling of yellowing and of dusty bookshelves, provoking, discriminative, questioning, investigative, political, spinning, dizzying, gratifying, discomforting, propelling. These apply to movies, books and music alike, in no particular order: Everything is Illuminates, Joanna Newsom, Cannery Row, Salman Rushdie, Joan Didion, Infinite Jest, Beirut, Peter Greeenaway.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
once seen: how about the Fisherman's Bastion in Budapest, the palest stone apparition in the whitest of snows.
Teach, Learn, Share
somewhat how to do things fabric and yarn-related, make cob and felt. I can teach you how to fix a flat, install Your bike brakes and hammer a chain together with a rock. I can tell You about proteins in bread and Dali's surrealist imagery. I can teach You how to wield a chainsaw, and throw together a sandbag wall. We can talk post-colonial politics in Africa.
i would like to learn how to tatt lace, cobble shoes and fix watches.
