Trying to re educate myself at the moment and find a new place to love life in.
I moved away from home when I was 18 and fell in love with my home from home, Glasgow. A gritty murky city that provided much happiness and some sadness like anywhere at anytime. I have been living back in Northern Ireland for nearly 6 months now and have just realised that I have not given my home country a fair chance this second time round. Hoping that through the fresh eyes of a traveller I can learn to see the beauty in my homeland that I have overlooked.
Be flexible for change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am new to the game. Count me in. At the end of my most recent travels I spent a day in Brussels alone and could have done with some local pointers and didn't have much time to lose. Having friends who had used Couchsurf, I was familar and realised I needed to get involved.
My main joy is to cook and this fits nicely with my love of different cultures. For me, food is the language of a place. I enjoy people watching as I sip a coffee and smoke a kretek or whatever I have to hand. New things as well as old things. Good music, live and in my ears. Movies that push on a journey. And, football. Watching, playing and travelling for.
Music, Movies, and Books
There are a vast amount of movies, music and then some books that I like. Too great a list to complete but one from each should be enough for now. Darjeeling Limited, the Libertines and Fantastic Mr Fox.
