ABOUT ME
I recently finished university and I came to Japan to have a holiday after the study period. I'm learning Japanese which I think is a really interesting language. I also want to do some martial arts training. I do Aikido and there are some great teachers here in Japan.
I will be in Japan for a total of 6 months. I have been involved in the WWOOF program, I go to farms and small businesses and work for people in exchange for food and accommodation. I don't like being a tourist, I like to get involved in the local community. I try to contribute something to the local community wherever I go. I also want to meet lots of Japanese people. I am starting to understand the culture here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests
Music, I make it and I listen to it. Here in Japan I'm interested in seeing more local musicians. I went to a hardcore punk/heavy metal concert in Tokyo and that was a lot of fun. I saw an amazing street performer too, playing bass. I want to see more music.
I'm interesting in martial arts, I do Aikido, I'm also interested in seeing how they train in the mixed martial arts gyms over here. There aren't many clubs like that in Australia.
I also like general socialising, having a chat over a beer or whatever. I am most interested in politics, but it's a touchy subject even at the best of times, so I don't talk about it too much :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I like lots of different kinds of music. I recently startd listening to Irish Smallpipe music (I heard some on Hokkaido). In Tokyo I went to a punk rock/heavy metal club (Antiknock) which was pretty cool. The last movie I saw was the second Lord of the Rings movie. I also saw Tales of the City recently.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went for a walk on Mt. Annapuri in Hokkaido and looked down on clouds. That blew me away.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really don't know what to put here, other than to say that I am interested in learning Japanese.
