About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To introduce the world to a better me.

ABOUT ME

There is a fine line between confidence and vanity. I'm not sure which side of that line I'm on, but I'm happy being me. Statistically, when people describe themselves, the most common answer is "I'm funny". Well, judging by the way other people laugh at my jokes, I can say with confidence that I actually am funny. I like to say that I'm a (future) chef by trade, but a clown by hobby. I tell jokes, make balloon animals, juggle, and perform magic, with cards mostly.

PHILOSOPHY

Even though everybody thinks "magic isn't real", there is a part of everybody's mind that says "I want to believe in magic." That part of you is the reason that you tell your kids about Santa Clause. And as long as you believe in the power of believing, you can make your own magic, and it will be more real than anything else in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I'm a couchsurfer because I'm just on the edge of homelessness. One day, when I get a place of my own, I'll host surfers anytime. In fact, I'll even work towards becoming an ambassidor. For now, I'll just keep surfing and vouching for others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a new member and haven't had any experiences yet. I can't wait to get started, though.

Interests

girls, magic (not the RPG card game), cooking, surfing (both couchsurfing and the kind with water), music, movies, books, games, and anything else that I have fun with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:Forbiden Zone, Tongan Ninja, Kung Pow, What's Up, Tiger Lilly?, Mullholand Drive, and far too many more to name on this list.
Music:The Who, The Beatles, System of a Down, Primus, Stephen Lynch, Flight of the Conchords, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, and many, many more.
Books: Anything by Chuck Palahniuk, Clive Barker, Edgar Allen Poe, or Ray Bradbury. I'd also like to read some of the classics: Alice in Wonderland, Treasure Island, A Tale of Two Cities, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove from Redding to San Francisco for a Flight of the Conchords concert. It was a great show. Before the concert, I went to the modern art museum and saw real-life Picasos, not just photos or copies. I also saw Andy Warhol, Diego Rivera, and Monets, among others. I don't know if I spelled those right...
I also saw Grace Cathedral. That's the biggest church I've ever seen in my life. I really had a great time that day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some cooking techniques to anyone willing to learn. My shcool prides itself on "classical French techniques combined with modern American technology." I also know some cool magic tricks. I have strong math skills as well, if you need a tutor. I got a perfect score in math on my GED.
What I'd really love to learn is to play some guitar. Or singing lessons would be great. I don't sing too well, but I think my voice, if properly trained, could sound great in music. I'm very musically inclined. I've played drums for about 7 years, but I'm a little out of practice.
