About Me
Hello, I'm Joana, from Portugal. I am 24 and I am working in a NGO (on education, development and drug policy). After my Erasmus in The Hague, I went back to Lisbon where I started doing my master in Economics and Public Policies. However, I moved abroad again ir order research for my thesis on cannabis decriminalization vs. legalization - that's why I 've chosen Montevideo, Uruguay for another 6 beautiful months. Back to Portugal, I moved to Porto, an amazing and warm city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's an amazing opportunity to get to know free people.
I had my first experience in 2012, at Den Haag in the first week of my first staying abroad. After that, I've been in different places doing couchsurfing as it is the best way to meet new people while saving some money, enjoying the local.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste is pretty eclectic when it comes to music - I regularly listen alternative, jazz or bossa nova, psychedelic rock (Pink Floyd, Tame Impala, ...), as well as rap, techno trance or psyambient. Concerning to books, The Trial by Kafka and The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera are my favourites ones, so far. Finally, I love Almodovar's movies.
