ABOUT ME

I find myself as a rather positive person. Sure, everyone has bad days sometimes and I'm no exception. But still if at the end of the day I am still standing, I guess it's not as bad as it seems :) Currently I'm improving my life. I changed my job some time ago to one that finaly gives me not only the means to survive but also a great deal of pleasure. Funny thing, though, it's not even about the job, it's more about people I'm surrounded with. And for once I feel like I fit somwhere :)
I just hope to find that same sence of fullfillment here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the moment I'm looking around, trying to get the basics of the whole idea. I wish to both be a host and a guest, but as for now I just feel to inexperienced. I wish to start by getting some first hand opinions, get to know the experienced surfers and hosts and just pick their brains a bit :P
All good advice and suggestions for a rookie are welcome :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None for the moment. The closest I got to couchsurfing was going on a student exchange to Italy and for a summer camp to UK where I was staying with a local family. I got a lot of positive experience from both and the hunger for more :)

Interests

Let's state the obvious- Travelling :D And I mean some real travelling, sightseeing, experiencing the actual culture. I got bored with beach resorts which offer no local culture, hotels which look the same no matter in which country you find yourself and spending hours doing nothing in the sun. There are to many beautiful places on earth and to little time (an money :P ) in life to see them all, so I decided to grab as much as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books- mostly fantasy genre but also the classic crime stories by Aghata Christie
Music- It's hard to decide. I listen to all types of music, the choice being dependant on my mood.
Movies- Too many to list them here. Mostly action, thrillers, sometimes a good comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I managed to get certified in scubadiving and did some diving on gorgeous reefs. Not amazing enough? Well... it is for me, seeing that I am terrified of sharks. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

For starters I am hoping to learn as much as I can about the whole idea. Later, when I fully begin to experience couchsurfing I wish to learn more about other cultures to be able to understand them better.
