Resumen
Sobre mí
I'm a friendly, curious person who is a little too introverted for her own good.
I'm hoping to expand my mind, open myself up to new experiences and really enjoy my time on this planet, seeing as much of it as I can.
I'm hoping the mix of travelling and meeting new and unusual people will help me evolve in to the person I really want to be.
I can't stand the phrase "That's life". Every time I hear it, it basically sounds like they're saying give up and be miserable, just like me. To which my responses of wanting to travel long term, make money travelling, live a vegan lifestlye and basically doing everything the "normal" person wouldn't ever try, are met with lovely comebacks such as "You're living in a dream world" or "that's just ridiculous". Those are the people I want to prove wrong and show them the way to a truly happy and dream like world that actually exists!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I rent a cute little terraced house down a quiet hidden lane with my boyfriend Chris, my dog Hiccupand my cat Micah. For the next 6-12 months we plan to stay here while gearing up to go long term travelling but thought why wait to meet travellers until we can go out in to the world ourselves! So over the next few months we want to open our home to adventurers and story tellers, meet new friends and eventually become the adventurers knocking on your door.
Intereses
2 years ago I made a decision to change my lifestyle and with that followed a new mindset and new interests all aligning with the idea of living healthfully and positively and getting the most out of life.
Veganism - Tasty, healthy food, simple products and respect for our planet and everything on it.
Minimalism - Less is more as they say. Keep what brings you joy or is super useful and everything else is just background noise you don't need.
Yoga & Acro - 2 exercise practices I am looking to get in to. Had a little experience with yoga (just following videos on youtube) and recently discovered acro via youtube and would love to learn if the opportunity came along.
Ukulele and French - 2 new skills I'm slowly trying to learn! Hoping to be able to speak a decent amount of french by the time we go travelling and play at least one song well on the uke!
Generally I like being in nature although I don't get out there enough and geeky orientated stuff such as watching movies (really into the Marvel universe recently) and playing games like Uncharted, Minecraft and Little Big Planet.

Música, películas y libros
Music - I love movie scores and any music that sounds magical or adventurous! Other than that I like random songs from most genres rather than a genre itself being a favourite.
One of my favourite songs since I was younger is Dela by Johnny Clegg! Anyone who watched George of the Jungle growing up will know this one! (between that, Tarzan and The Wild Thornberries, no wonder I grew up wanting to live in the jungle, be friends with animals and have adventures)
Movies - There are too many to name.. and recently my memory has been awful which had the weird bonus of being able to watch movies I've seen before like they're brand new! Some faves: Leon the Professional, Nell, Contact, Pitch Black/Riddick, How to Train Your Dragon 1&2, Up, Tarzan, Studio Ghibli, Summer Wars, Moonrise Kingdom and Into The Wild.
Genre wise I'm good with most except horror... Can't do horror T_T. But Silent Hill and Zombie movies are good!
TV - Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Idiot Abroad, Fullmetal Alchemist, Baccano!, Walking Dead. To be honest I haven't watched live TV in a long time so I only catch the shows online that I already know I like.
Books - I'm admittedly not a big reader, but trying to get into that more recently. Looking for Alaska by John Green I really enjoyed. Currently (very slowly) reading Moonwalking with Einstein, a book about gaining a super memory! (Something I desperately need) and listening to the audio book version of The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.
