About Me

My current mission objective is to learn as much from other cultures as possible. I think that America is a little isolated box that I've lived in my whole life, and I think that I could achieve a lot more if I learned to think outside that box.

Well, I'm kind of funny. Don't ever take anything I say to seriously. It's hard to be funny through a computer screen though. I'm told that all my humor is in my face, whatever that means. I get along with people pretty well. Too well. My father always told me that I should find a career with a job description of making friends. He also says that I "bamboozle" people into liking me. I'm very open and easy to talk to, but very bad at expressing my own serious emotions.

Learn by Doing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Not much at the moment, considering I just registered and now I'm writing this profile. Hosting people and showing visitors around the bay area and San Francisco sounds like a lot of fun though.

Like I said, I'm new at this. But eager to learn!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: anything satirical, political, motivating, or emotionally moving
Music: Mostly Classic Rock, but anything that tingles the senses and draws you into the song
Books: mostly non-fiction interests me. Hand me anything and I'll read it if I have time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After teaching 3 days a week in an impoverished school in Paraguay with very limited supplies, I started to run out of things to teach. I had to get creative to fill the time. I started teaching not only health and sanitation, but artistics expression. I covered everything from finger painting to basket weaving to yoga and interpretive dance. When the kids started to cheer everytime I walked into the schoolyard, it really pulled my heartstrings.

Teach, Learn, Share

I worked as a pastry chef's assistant and I love to cook, so cooking is a skill i can bring to any table (pun intended). I'm a decent artist, a good singer, a great storyteller, and en absolutely astounding overall entertainer (especially after a glass or two of wine).

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Italy, Mexico, Switzerland
