Hi there! I'm a Montanan thru and thru, I grew up hiking, camping, and generally being outside. I am a storyteller by nature, which led me to pursue a degree in filmmaking and photography. I love to read and write, and while I'm not the greatest cook in the world, I do love to eat adventurously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just got a pretty once in a lifetime opportunity to fly to Kona for a week for a very low cost. I'm looking for a more authentic, non-resort style experience, and couchsurfing seems like the perfect way to do that!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most music, but I do lean towards R&B and Hip Hop music. Big fan of Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar. I'm a bit of a nerd, so I like sci-fi movies. Shape of Water was really fantastic I thought. I just finished reading a non-fiction book about the history of physics called Reality is Not What it Seems that I really loved.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a month last year living in Chengdu, China working for a high-end furniture/wood-working education business making marketing materials for them, primarily videos. Living in China was mind-blowing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a pretty thorough understanding of all things film and photography, and would love to teach what I know! I am very interested in learning about local cultures, particularly the food!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a hard worker, and would love to help out however I can! Doing dishes, cleaning, manual labor, etc, none of it bothers me. I can also teach you anything you might want to know about film and photography! I'm a good listener, but I can also tell a pretty good story if that's what you like!
