Hello!
My name is Joel. I am moving from NYC to Mexico City for a few weeks and then making my way down to Chiapas, Mexico. This is my first time going on a trip to another country but I hope to learn a lot from the people who live in Mexico and to have a great life experience. I have skills with arts, writing, and computers. And I also know how to take care of a home and am very easy to get along with. My passion is for political organizing and I hope to make good friendships with people who are studying the subjects of our world in order to change it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im here because it is a great place to meet people and is a different way to travel the world. I envision that something like couch surfing could grow into a vast social network that will connect kind people who want to be good international neighbors and share the wealth of traveling and new experiences. It is better than the hotels and other commodities because the relationship is one that relies on trust rather than paid employees like at a hotel.

Interests

I am a multidisciplinary college graduate and I love to learn new things. I am currently also trying to improve speaking spanish and learn Portuguese and French. I do everything with the goal of learning new strategies to achieve an egalitarian multicultural society.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well I've spent my whole life living in New York City and traveling a bit around the coast. During this time I've seen a lot of amazing and strange things that kind of seem normal now haha. Im also a performer so i would consider acting for an audience kind of amazing. But I'd like to hear what other people might have seen or done.

I can teach painting, drawing, english, poetry, art history and theory
I would like to learn rock climbing, dance, spanish/ portuguese / french, and any arts digital or raw as well
Im willing to share anything I can and am very happy to help with any projects. I can be a studio assistant or can help with other creative projects too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer help with chores and can teach/ share any of my skills. If you need a studio assistant i have experience. If you would like an editor i have experience with that too. And I can help with web design. I am fluent in spanish and english. And I am fun so I can offer a few laughs and some company if youd like
