I'm on a mission to discover the world. Carpe Diem!
I'm Joeliah but I go by the name "Joe". I was born and raised in the Philippines and currently lives in California. I like to travel, meet new people, experience new things -especially the ones that involves getting my adrenaline rush, sight seeing, adventure and anything crazy and uncomfortable that would test my limit and challenge myself; eat good food -try those that is not usually served in a fast food chain or a restaurant, something out of this world kind of food, as long as it does not kill me; learn the culture of the place -I love to meet locals and hear their stories, and volunteer work.
I want to listen to other cultures and learn from them, boost up my self-esteem, and just go out of my bubble and explore the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why am I here? Hmmm...
Share my culture, and learn yours.
It's because I like to travel, I'm a curious cat who wanders and is eager to learn something from a place or a person, and I don't want to be a tourist, I want to really know the place by its people, history, and culture; which makes traveling fun. That's why I'm here.
Hiking, Mixed Martial Arts, good read books and quality movies, classical and heavy metal songs, anything that involves adventure and adrenaline rush in to the picture, fine glass of wine, and traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in high school, my team mates from Track and Field and I went out for a hike (all girls). Curiosity got us, so we explored the mountains, wandered, and looked for the main water source of the waterfall. So we hiked up the fall, it was not easy at all, we were amateurs; followed the stream, and almost got ourselves killed for it was raining on that day and we had to pass by the cliff wherein the only thing that we were clinging onto was the roots of the tree, good thing none of us fell off, well one almost did but she managed to get back on her feet. When we reached the top, we saw this small hole that releases water onto the waterfall, how magical, and of course we ended up on a different mountain, which made it more splendid.
