About Me

After graduating Highschool I was thrust totally unprepared into the world with no career or clear direction in my life. I took it upon myself to learn the ways of the world completely independent of the natural ways of society and hit the road. I explored many cultures across several nations over a handful of continents and developed an unbiased and very positive world view. With the help of hosteling, hitch hiking, couchsurfing and all their respective communities I have gained much perspective and have essentially found myself. I am currently undertaking a new career in which I can enrich the communities that have shaped me into the person I am today.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has shaped my worldview and constantly refreshes my faith in humanity. To be a part of a truly global community hell-bent on helping people brings me the utmost joy.

I have hosted travelers, met people and inspired them to use couchsurfing, and done the dishes for a number of hosts. I also love attending meetups all over the world!

I love hosting people and I love surfing all over the world, meeting all kinds of people. I also love it when hosts bring over their friends or family!

Interests

Coffee has not only brought our civilisation out of the dark ages, it has brought me out of the dark ages, and even triggered an enlightenment in me. Coffee literally sparked my new career path.

Beer is tasty and goes well in social situations. Ask me where the best beer in town is.

I get very heavily involved in politics, philosophy, economics, history and most recently entrepreneurship.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all movies. Old, classic action movies along with the old comedies. Documentaries and cerebral movies, the kind that make you think.

For music I listen to everything from rock and punk to the absolute most soul crushing psycho death metal.

Books of the non-fiction variety or somewhat provocative themes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mount Olympus, and Ran with the bulls... twice. Drove a beat up Volkswagen through North and Central America. Hitch-Hiked Peru, North to South.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach drumming to some extent. Parkour, and politics (although opinion based) are some things that really get me going. I really like learning about other cultures and their politics, and I'm open to anything when it comes to learning. For example. I just learned how to ride a bike in October '13.
