I'm something of a Germanphile. I love Europe but anything German sounding is fine by me.

ABOUT ME

I've spent the last few summers in German speaking countries and loved every minute. From the Schwarzwald to Bayern, Zürich to Köln, I've met some great people along the way.

During the World Cup in 2006 I stayed in Köln which is a great city. I'm also in the selection process to be a Euro 2008 volunteer in Zürich. Hopefully I'll be chosen because I spent last summer watching football matches in Bern, Basel and Zürich and can't wait to go back.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd just like to contact like-minded folk who appreciate the value of crashing on someone's floor. There's nothing worse than having no money and worrying where the next meal on your holiday is coming from.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During the World Cup in 2006 I stayed in a private flat which was quite pricey, but I wish I had just crashed on someone's floor instead. Although not through the website, I've had Canadian and German travellers sleeping on my floor. I'm quite open to that but unfortunately my housemates not quite so!

Interests

Football, really. I'll watch any sport, especially something international where different cultures clash. Like I say I'm a bit of a Germanphile so any good music or films in a foreign language and I'm hooked.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experiencing the World Cup in Germany was something I'll never forget. It's probably the one event in the world that emcompasses so many cultures mixing and such passionate people.
