About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore as much of the country and world as time and money permits!

ABOUT ME

Outgoing and friendly, I stay as true to my Canadian roots as I can!

PHILOSOPHY

Laissez-Faire unless you're actively trying to interfere with someone's life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do my best to be a flexible host. :) I havn't had many chances to Surf myself, but so far so good!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One surf under my belt- went great! Additionally, I've spent the last year living out of my car or backpack (when I fly) making random trips to meet friends in random cities. I travel light and am at this point used to 4-5 people in a 1 guest-reserved-hotel room.

Interests

TRAVEL. #1. By far.

But I also like to hike, learn a new skill (cooking right now), backpack, camp, kayak, and I'm working on Surfing (sort of have to in HB...!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic Rock or some of the new kinda-hipster stuff like Cage the Elephant, Arctic Monkeys, etc. Also, Dubstep for the last few months. Not sure why, haha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was in DC for the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and participated. Was there for the latest Obama inauguration too. I've traveled to 20+ countries. I've SEEN Africa from the tip of Gibraltar, haha. On a more grim note, I was at the finish line for the Boston Marathon in 2012.... That was an experience that will definitely stick with me.

Teach, Learn, Share

To be honest, I take after my uncle in that I pick up absolutely random facts about things (anything) that stick with me and bubble up to the surface randomly. I don't know, it's genetic I guess, but be prepared to learn something random hahaha.

Oh, I know how to fold a dollar bill (or $5 or $10 so on) into a ring you can wear. And I'm working on learning how to make a little ship too.

Uh... I drive stick! I'll be happy to teach but my transmission's been through a few of those already so we'd probably be looking for a different car for you to learn on so I can keep her ticking longer... :)

Oh and my one natural talent is to chug. Don't know how that happened, I went to a pretty quiet party-free school. But I haven't met my match yet! Also, no idea how I can teach that. Haha.
