About Me

I am a relaxed kiwi who is keen to travel and meet new people. I have just spent the past 5 months travelling through Central America, surfing my way up the Pacific coast from Panama up to Mexico. I'm now looking to spend a few months getting to know Canada, particularly its power and poutine (not necessarily in that order). I'm always up for a good yarn and I'm pretty keen on adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, see cool places, and because I have the helpful ability to fall asleep anywhere (including standing up on a tram in Melbourne one time)

Music, Movies, and Books

90s hip hop (Biggie over Tupac...just) plus the new school of Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, J. Cole and the like. Anything that gets my foot tapping.

My favourite books include Cloud Atlas, The Godfather, Shantaram and Guns, Germs and Steel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was almost pickpocketed by a preacher on a chicken bus in Nicaragua. Luckily (that day at least) my reactions were too quick and he scurried off to find less vigilant gringos.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share my experiences from travelling through some of Latin America's poorest and 'off the beaten track' experiences. I want to learn about new cities and cultures, and get tips for the best concert venues, restaurants/holes in the wall, and hiking areas!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good yarns, some (amateur) tips on homebrewing, a promise of a warm couch in New Zealand if they ever decide to visit my spectacular country!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belize, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, El Salvador, England, France, French Polynesia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Panama, Samoa, Singapore, Switzerland, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

New Zealand
